Great news. We’ve already started work on your Remortgage, and now you have registered for the portal you can securely and easily provide the information we need to progress your remortgage, access important documents, confirm your completion date, plus much more.

Your Remortgage - One step at a time

Whilst every remortgage can be slightly different, here are the main things to expect.

1. Welcome

We've opened our file and we're checking the property title

2. Welcome Pack

Once the title check is complete, we’ll be in touch to explain next steps and how to register your Remortgage Portal Account

3. Your Remortgage Portal Account and Property Questionnaire

Register your Remortgage Portal Account and provide any outstanding information needed to progress your remortgage

4. Mortgage Deed

If you’re eligible for the Land Registry’s Electronic Mortgage Deed Service, we’ll let you know. If you’re completing a paper Mortgage Deed, please return this to us (signed and witnessed) in the post

5. Mortgage Offer

Your new mortgage lender will send us a copy of your Mortgage Offer. When we receive this, we’ll let you know

6. Redemption Figure

If you’re repaying an existing mortgage, we’ll ask your previous lender to confirm the amount outstanding (Redemption Statement). We’ll do this as soon as we can

7. Final Checks

We’ll review your file to make sure everything is in order

8. Completion Date Set

We’ll confirm your completion date and send you a Completion Statement, which sets out the financial transactions that will take place on your completion date

9. Your Completion Day

We’ll drop you a line as soon as your remortgage completes. If you’re expecting a surplus, we’ll send this to you via your chosen method
